I am so happy you are here. I am the creator of Inspiring Midwest Roots, a food blog focusing on recipes using simple ingredient. All of my recipes are created with my daughters and family in mind.
The recipes are inspiration from our weeknight craziness to the traditional meals that hold a special place in our hearts. I love sharing our recipes and I hope you find inspriation to try them in your own home.
I believe in using high quality ingredients for best results, both with the result of the recipe and the nutritients that we are getting from our food. We use mostly raw dairy, grass-fed butter, pasture raised eggs, organic vegetables and fruits, nature’s sweeteners (such as honey and maple syrup), and anti-inflammatory oils or tallow.
Some recipes are gluten free, some are not. Some use cane sugar, while most do not. My goal is to show you how easy it is to create healthy and nourishing meals with simple swaps. Cooking healthy meals shoudl not be stressful or overwhelming. It is a chance to fuel our loved ones with amazing food.
