Nachos are one of my favorite foods. I think it is because there are so many different things to do with them. You can make them with all different kinds of protein, beans, veggies, sauces.. the options are limitless. It seems like whenever I eat nachos, I am always coming up with other kinds of nachos I could make. I have some great ones coming up that I am really excited to share with you!
Details and Tips!
My favorite way to make nachos is on a sheet pan. They get nice and crispy and there is a nice single layer of chips completely covered in all of the great toppings. It is the perfect ratio of chips to stuff, and I love it. The chips on the edges get a little browned, and the cheese has the best opportunity to get melted and a little crispy in places. Then, my favorite part is to pile them high with all sorts of great toppings.
I try to make my nachos healthy in the ingredients I am choosing. I like to use a a better quality block of cheese such as a raw cheese or Tillamook cheese and shred it myself. I also add a lot of meat and swap out sour cream for greek yogurt for some added protein. I also like to add a lot of veggies on top. My favorites are romain lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, black beans, peppers, and salsa. Lastly, I like to choose tortilla chips that are made in avocado oil and grain free. My favorite brand is Thrive Market or Siete. Both are great! Making these easy swaps really make these light and healthy! These Easy Beef Sheetpan Nachos are my go to nacho of the summer!
