My Favorite Elderberry Syrup Kit
The perfect thing to have on hand this time of year! It helps to battle the colds and flus that are so common this time of year, and also boosts your immune system to stay healthy! It is also tasty, my kids love it as "juice"!
A cold has hit our house hard the last week or so. I used to really struggle to figure out what to give them, especially when they are so little. The over the counter medications sometimes made me a little nervous and a lot of times, there isn't much that you can do for a simple cold.
I came across this elderberry syrup mix and quickly realized this is what we need to help us battle colds. It is all organic and made my a small family-owned company, Purely Parsons.
Why use elderberry syrup?
This elderberry syrup is great for so many reasons. It is super easy to make, it is organic, and it really works. It also tastes really good!
Elderberry syrup has so many properties through the elderberries and the spices that boost our immune systems and help us fight off colds in the most natural way. We are not consuming anything artificial or man-made. Everything in the syrup kit is whole food.

Details and Tips!
This elderberry syrup could not be easier to make. You just throw the packet of elderberry syrup mix in a pot and add 4 cups of filtered water. Bring that to a boil and let it simmer for 30 minutes or so. Then, strain the mix and add in 1/4 cup honey, if you would like. Store it in the fridge!
For my girls, I will add one tablespoon to 6 ounces of water and they drink it as juice. I do this every day during cold and flu season. If any of us start to have symptoms, I will do 2-3 tablespoons a day to help us fight off whatever it is we have.
What you need!

Customize!
The only customization here is the honey. You do not have to add honey to the mixture, but it does add some sweetness and more nutritional properties. If you are planning to give this to a child who is less than 1 year old, leave it out!
