Pumpkin Cold Foam Coffee

Skip the coffee shops and make your own homemade cold foam coffee! It is naturally sweetened with maple syrup and uses real ingredients, no sugar or nasty stuff! Give it a try!

It is October! And even though the temperatures are more summer-like here in the Midwest, we are seeing some cooler temperatures on the near future, hopefully! Because coffee is the thing I look forward to a lot every day, I wanted to kick off October with one of my favorite cold foam coffees! It is a little sweet, very pumpkin-forward, and the perfect little treat for this time of year!

The best part of this cold foam is that it is made with real ingredients that are easy to have on hand. There is no refined sugar, we are using maple syrup as our sweetener. And there are no added preservatives, food dyes, or questionable ingredients.

To make this, I use my cold brew coffee concentrate. It is really easy to make and great to have on hand. I always have a pitcher in the fridge so I can enjoy my morning iced coffee. Cold brewed coffee has a lot of benefits compared to hot coffee, but my favorite is that it is much easier on our stomachs. I am currently making mine in a glass jar with a cotton filter so there are no plastics or bleaches leaching into the coffee as well.

Details and Tips!

This pumpkin cold foam is so easy to make. Everything comes together in a jar and you do not need any fancy ingredients. The first thing you will do is pour the cream into a mason jar or a two cup measuring cup. Then add in the pumpkin, syrup, vanilla, and spices. Then you can use an immersion blender or a powerful frother to mix everything together. You can mix it for as long as you would like to get the consistency you want. The longer you mix it, the thicker it will become. I like mine on the more runny side so I don't mix mine for more than 45 seconds with a frother.

Store this in a mason jar or glass pitcher for up to a few days. This is great over hot coffee or cold brew. It brings the perfect amount of pumpkin flavor to your morning or afternoon pick me up!

What you need!

  • heavy cream - look for raw or organic/grass fed. My favorite brand is Dutch Meadows for raw cream and Organic Valley for organic and grass fed cream.
  • pure pumpkin - canned
  • vanilla extract
  • cinnamon
  • nutmeg
  • salt
  • maple syrup

Customize!

You can definitely play with the spices in this recipe if you are wanting a warmer flavor or a sweeter flavor. This recipe will not be all that sweet, just my own personal preference. You can certainly add more maple syrup or spices to get the flavor you are looking for. Use this as a starting point and then go from there with your own personal preferences!

I hope you enjoy this and look forward to your pumpkin cold foam coffee as much as I do this time of year! Let us know what you think in the comments or on social media! We love to hear from you!
